The idea for a 360° image of a nug started back in May 2010.  We were shooting a strangely shaped nug and no angle we tried looked good. We thought, why not shoot it from every angle and be able to spin it around dynamically? 

We had no idea where to begin, so we found a lazy susan, drew a grid on it and on June 6th, 2010, we shot our first 360 consisting of 16 pictures. It was rough, and we knew that we had to make it better.

Each 360° is made up of 50 photos and shot using a computer controlled rotating platform.

We tried a lot of different things along the way, and now six months later we’re ready to release it to the world. We did months of testing to find the right balance between load time, resolution, and framerate.  At long last, we are extremely proud to release our 360° galleries to the world: Nugshots 360° Photography Galleries.
